THE ROMANIAN PROGRAM IS ON HOLD SUBJECT
TO THE NEW LAWS TO BE IMPLEMENTED STARTING JANUARY 2005.
After the new elected Romanian
President, Traian Basescu visited the United States early in March,
2005, there are high expectations that in the near future, the so
called "pipeline
cases" will be completed.
Unfortunately, UAC like so many agencies in the US, France and Italy, have cases in the pipeline. It is sad to think how the children are deprived of the love and nurturing they could have from their adoptive parents. Update: September 2005: Under present Romanian laws, only Romanian grandparents can adopt while several hundred pipeline cases still remain at a standstill.
Every child deserves love and encouragement. Small things done with great love bring joy and peace.
